Backpack Program Challenge
Challenge Gifts. A challenge gift represents a non-contingent gift (not dependent on the gifts of other donors) to a charity with an accompanying “challenge” for other donors also to support the same charity.
Pete Keskey of Minuteman Press just pledged $500 for the Backpack program for the St. Croix Central School District. Pete challenges his friends and other members of our community to join him in supporting this backpack program that is producing changed lives by sending in your pledge in the coming weeks.
The Backpack program is designed to send backpacks home full of non-perishable easy to prepare foods with children in need for the weekend. This is a program that many of our chamber members already have a passion for and are looking for other ways to help raise money for this fantastic program.
The St. Croix Central School District is hoping to raise $5000 to begin the program in the fall and guarantee its ability to run throughout the entire school year. The program has received $1500 to date with the remaining amount of $3500 needs to be collected. If each Central St. Croix Chamber Business can contribute $47.00, the goal would be reached!
Please join Pete Keskey in helping the students at Central St. Croix by donating a simple
tax-deductible monetary donation and help put meals on many of our family’s tables
